Within this framework, the Department of Economics provides an important platform for research and education in business studies and economics with an emphasis on applied science, often in collaboration with the university’s natural science disciplines.
The department's research and teaching focus on knowledge and understanding of the sustainable use, management, and governance of natural resources, including the value chain for agricultural products and food. We are now seeking an associate senior lecturer for the Agricultural and Food Economics group to work on research and teaching related to the resilience of agricultural systems. This research group has rapidly established itself as a strong and dynamic international research environment, currently comprising ten PhD-level researchers, eleven doctoral students, and a communications officer. The group contributes to the scientific literature in agricultural economics and related disciplines. It maintains strong intra-, inter-, and transdisciplinary collaborations, with for example colleagues in plant ecology, agricultural technology, animal health, and veterinary epidemiology.
