Director of Accelerating Resilience Innovations in Drylands (ARID) Institute at University of New Mexico
The University of New Mexico (UNM), a flagship R1-level research institution, seeks a dynamic and inspirational Director for the Accelerating Resilience Innovations in Drylands Institute (ARID).
Launched in 2023, ARID’s domain expertise in both fundamental inquiry and application, combined with a commitment to New Mexico and the Southwestern US, and drylands globally, defines its unique strength. In its first 18 months, ARID has raised $18 million in funding to support research, education, outreach, and community engagement activities of the Institute.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished leader with expertise in sustainability-related fields, a strong record of scholarly achievement, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They will bring a bold vision for ARID’s future and the ability to amplify its local, national, and global impact, ensuring ARID continues to shape a resilient and sustainable future.
