Executive Director at Keystone Research Center
The Keystone Research Center (KRC) is seeking a new Executive Director. The KRC (https://keystonereasearch.org) is a Harrisburg-based research nonprofit that focuses on policies that seek to benefit all Pennsylvanians.
Among other things, the KRC seeks a leader capable of representing the Center with the public, the media, and public officials. The successful candidate has supervisory authority with the staff, has responsibility for the organization’s compliance with legal obligations, will engage in research, and will be the Center’s chief fundraiser. The position is based in Harrisburg and requires applicants to commit to being present in the office enough to effectively perform all aspects of the job.

Job Responsibilities
Develops, raises, and manages an annual budget of about one million dollars from a mix of foundations and government grants.
Manages a staff of seven and those periodically used as outside consultants.
Set out a grounded vision of shared prosperity in Pennsylvania and the public policies needed to achieve that vision.
Ensures that an updated KRC strategic plan advances the KRC’s goals.
Provide support to the KRC board to enable it to carry out its management and fiduciary responsibilities.
Take ultimate responsibility for administrative functions, fiscal health, and program operations.
Confers with board members to set relevant strategic and action plans, research priorities, and human resource policies.
Oversee development of the KRC’s communication plan, research agenda, and the timely completion of funded projects and research.
Serves as the lead spokesperson for the KRC with the media, legislators, the executive branch, and other policymakers.
Job Requirements
A commitment to KRC’s mission and goals.
Proven experience with economic and policy analysis.
Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, and quantitative skills.
The ability to initiate and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong management and collaboration skills.
Job Qualifications
An established record of research.
Advanced degree in economics, public policy, or related field.
At least five years of professional experience in public policy analysis or related field.
Previous experience in government or a nonprofit public policy organization, management experience, experience working with labor organizations and stablished fundraising and grant-writing experience are pluses.
