Postdoctoral Associate in Agricultural Economics at Tuskegee University
The College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences (CAENS) at Tuskegee University is seeking candidates for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow in agricultural/applied economics to support research activities funded by a USDA Sustainable Agricultural System (SAS) Program to shift consumer and producer behavior surrounding controlled environment agriculture (CEA) products and practices. This is a benefit-eligible, nonfaculty position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Design the national and regional survey targeting consumers and/or producers
• Supervise and mentor the graduate students involved in the research
• Contribute to scholarly outputs, including scholarly publications, conference presentations, and research symposiums
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or a closely related field by the start of employment
• Strong background in Stated/Revealed Preference methods, including Discrete Choice Experiments(DCEs) or experimental auction techniques
• Experience with the national or regional survey design and implementation
• Proficiency in STATA, R, or Python (or equivalent statistical/programming languages)
• Familiarity with Ngene software
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Supervision and Collaboration
This position reports to Dr. Rui Chen at Tuskegee University. The selected candidate will collaborate with professors at Auburn University and the University of Florida, who will provide feedback on the economic components of the research.
