Postdoctoral Research Associate in Diversification of Agricultural Landscapes at University of Vermont
Announcing an open position for a postdoctoral research associate in the Prokopy research group at the University of Vermont. Dr. Linda Prokopy is relocating from Purdue University to UVM and is establishing a small lab to focus on diversification of agricultural landscapes, both in the Midwest and in New England. The successful applicant will work with team members on the Diverse Corn Belt project and other collaborators. This is not a remote position and the successful applicant is expected to (re)locate to work on campus at the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT.
This position requires a PhD in a social science discipline, excellent qualitative data analysis skills, knowledge of agricultural systems in the United States, and strong written and verbal communication skills. A candidate with quantitative skills is strongly preferred. Opportunities for professional development will be provided and attendance at a minimum of one national conference per year will be fully funded.
This position is available immediately and will ideally be filled by September, 2025. Salary and benefit information can be found here. This position is initially for one year but is renewable for a second year based upon satisfactory performance.
