Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Florida
The Food and Resource Economics Department at the University of Florida invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of renewal for a third year.
The selected candidate will contribute to the valuation of ecosystem services and integrated assessment modeling for a project funded by the USDA Sustainable Agricultural Systems program. The overarching goal of this project is to create a Conservation Hub for Economic Empowerment of Rural Stakeholders to facilitate regional knowledge exchange, drive real-time feedback, and enable holistic solution development, with a focus on economic viability across the entire cover crop–winter cropping system supply chain.
The successful candidate will work with [Weizhe Weng] in collaboration with researchers from the University of Florida, USDA-ARS, the University of Georgia, Auburn University, Clemson University, and other academic, NGO, and industry partners. Applicants are expected to have strong training and experience in agricultural and environmental economics. The ability to analyze geospatial data and knowledge of remote sensing products is preferred, as we will work closely with a remote sensing specialist on this project.
