Postdoctoral Scholar at University of Florida
The Natural Resource Economics Program at the University of Florida, Southwest Florida Research and Education Center, Immokalee, FL, is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated postdoctoral research associate to conduct innovative research in the areas at the nexus of agricultural production and natural resources. This position focuses on conducting problem-oriented and policy-relevant research, developing econometric models to understand the economic and behavioral incentives for using new farm management practices and technology adoption and their environmental implications.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in agricultural economics, environmental and resource economics, operations research, or related fields and an outstanding ability to perform thoughtful, critical quantitative analysis. Experience in computational methods linking economic models with biophysical and hydrological models, econometric methods, survey design, spatial analysis, excellent communication skills, knowledge of citrus production, and an interest in working with interdisciplinary researchers is preferred. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Florida driver’s license upon hire.
